So last month dad handed down his ALDI coffee machine, which is a huge beast, measuring 40cm in height and just about as round. Previously, I'd worked on a tiny Melitta that came with a VHS instructional video, if that gives a sense of age. The Melitta was about half or a third the size so in some ways I miss it's compact enthusiasm. My partner Phil seems to think the Aldi makes a fairly decent cup.
