Meals on Tuesday

Oh, what a day of food...
I made lemon whoopie pies last night but cheated on the filling buy buying commercial lemon curd and using whipped cream. Also, who knew that you can't whip cream using a bar mix? I bar mixed for 5 minutes then had to swap to the egg beater. So here is my breakfast, lemon whoopie pie and tea.

Here's a close up.

Someone else at work was handing these out, so of course I ate them too.

Oh yes, fruit for the day. I love you, fruit.

Then it was time for another cup of English Breakfast Tea. How come they have Breakfast Teas and Afternoon Teas... but don't make some "all day
 or "any other time" teas?

Paw paw, mango and a berry yogurt at lunch time.

And instant coffee.

One more whoopie pie when I got home.

Camembert on crackers.

Beetroot and sweet potato chips.

This was dinner, cooked by moi. Steak with bok choy, mushrooms, onion and a side salad. Phil made the salad last night.

Monday foods

Fruit time... I think this is going to be a regular this week since we bought a kilo of apples and bananas on Sunday.

Mango, strawberry yoghurt and instant coffee.

My lunch was leftover mash, and leftover pork and stir fried veges. Roast veg as well.

Chocolate treat.

Had some cookies at home. They have a hazelnut filling.

Camembert on crackers.

Ginger cordial

Dinner was made by Phil - Chop with brussell sprouts, salad and mushroom sauce.

I made lemon whoopie pies, so we taste tested them for dessert.

Eating on Sunday

I made this. French toast with a banana and blueberry topping. I made the topping with honey, cinnamon and sherry.

Chinese tea

Then ice cream. This ice cream was a failure in the paddle pop machine (too soft, sticks pulled out) so I had to dig it all out with a spoon.

Lunch - I made this too. Lamb chops, capsicum and broccoli stir fried in the juices, and a mash of sweet potato, onion and garlic.

These were interesting. They have a hazelnut paste inside.

Phil's idea to have ice cream...

Went to the folks house for dinner. We had oysters natural and kilpatrick to start, with roast veg.

Then cold roast pork with crackling.

Stir fried mushrooms and beans.

Dessert was some kind of hazelnut and coconut slice.

And mango and pawpaw. The pawpaw was home grown.

Saturday!!!

Breakfast commences with chinese tea, christmas pudding (yes, already) followed by french toast with raspberry and banana topping. I made it with honey and cinnamon and wine.

Oh, a light snack of chocolate.

When Phil got home I had just finished making pasta. Lucky timing!

Polished off the leftover macarons.

We tried to make chocolate paddle pops but they had a freezing issue. So no ice cream yet.

Ate more bananas.

Sunflower seeds.

Dinner, looks appealing right? Well, it was ok. I stir fried a bunch of old vegs in the fridge and a lamb chop. Trying to use up all the veg we have.

Dessert was poached nectarines and peaches, also a week old, in a sherry, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg sauce and burnt fig ice cream by Maggie Beer.

Friday fare part 1

Ok, not such a good breakfast - instant coffee, chocolate and Twisties???

But I did have yoghurt later, does that count? And a cup of tea.

My lunch, left overs of the salty chicken rice Phil made.

Afternoon snack of brownies.

Thursday 15 Nov

This was breakfast. All I had before I left home was a glass of water. This was about 10am - strawberry cheesecake and a lemon Capi.

We had stopped by the chocolate store next to the cafe (Cafe Amadeus) and we both got a sample each. I got the Lavendar dark chocolate.

I was so parched that I had to make a stop for the Mango and Pineapple smoothie from Maccas. We were heading on foot to the other side of town to see an art show.

This was our $6 lunch at Parliament House, which today was lamb roast and roast veg with gravy and mint sauce.

Back at home I had a snack on these chocolates that Phil bought me the other day.

Then I snacked on a croissant he made yesterday.

Dinner was made by Phil, it's some kind of salty chicken and mushroom thing with rice.

It was a day out with my mate to see some art. I think that contributed to less snacking!
